The 6" cable is fine and works. Send it out in a small paper package and it would still work. Using packaging like used for ssd's and hard disk drives, drives up the cost of the product. ThanksAmazon has lots of USB 3.1 Gen 1 [5 Gbps] dongles but not a lot of 10 Gbps options. Moreover, the ones that claim to support 10 Gbps are either just flat out lying or support 10 Gbps only on one side and if you reverse it, you get USB 2.0 speeds [480 Mbps] which is laughable since USB Type-C is inherently reversible.This is the ONLY USB-C dongle I found that has none of that nonsense. I tested this on a MSI GE75-9SG gaming laptop that has 2 USB 3.1 Gen 2 ports (a Type-C port and a Type-A port). On the Type-A port via the Orico dongle, I connected a UGREEN USB-C enclosure that supports upto 6 Gbps over USB 3.2 Gen 2 (via ASM235CM chipset). I also connected a SanDisk SDDR-389 card reader containing a Sony SDXC-UHS-II 64GB SD card which is a SD card that supports 270 MB/s read and 70 MB/s write speeds.Unfortunately, at the time of testing I don't have a SATA or NVMe SSD lying around that I could put into an enclosure and take full advantage of USB 3.2 Gen 2 speeds (i.e. upto 1.25 GB/s) but I did test the connection through the Orico dongle via USB Device Tree Viewer and can confirm that it reports the connection speed as SuperSpeedPlus.If I get a SATA or NVMe SSD (with a 10Gbps enclosure to go with it) in the future, I'll update this review to add CrystalDiskMark speed tests for those.This dongle is slightly more expensive than the other options out there but it's also leaps and bounds better in terms of build quality (love the aluminum enclosure on it) and file transfer performance.It claims to support 5V 3A charging and that is true. I connected it to a Quick Charge 3.0 supported charger and my Poco F1 detected that and started charging at 15W. I also measured the current and I saw 5.2V at 2.7 Amps.
