Pangea Audio was founded on a less-is-more philosophy, believing that high prices are not always the best measure of quality – and that superior design and quantity purchasing offer the best value to its audiophile customer base.   Pangea Audio products are currently in use by more than 100,000 audiophiles and music lovers in the US, Canada, Europe, Asia, and dozens of other countries.   Three Separate Conductor Groups Three conductor groups consisting of a combination of solid and stranded Litz conductors. The large-gauge center conductor is made of solid Cardas Grade One Copper. Surrounding this conductor are six cores consisting of one medium-gauge solid OFC copper conductor, which in turn is surrounded by six Litz conductors. The net effect of Jay Victor's patented design is that every conductor is individually insulated. The braided shield is made of silver-plated copper for lower noise.   Even More Enhancements Maximum Conductivity The AC-14SE MkII's premium conductors provide maximum conductivity to make sure that your source gear gets the current it needs for the best operation all of the time. The 14-awg construction is optimized for line-level current delivery.   Cardas Grade One Copper – The Finest Copper Available AC-14SE MkII's large center conductor consists of no-compromise Cardas Grade One Copper, which George Cardas of Cardas Audio developed for his own premium cables.   George’s copper is mined in Arizona, then shipped to a New England factory where it is very S-L-O-W-L-Y drawn into conductors in a process that includes reduction annealing between steps to further purify and meld the copper into what George calls "the most amazing audio conductor I have ever experienced. It is quite simply the best copper on the planet." Advanced Noise Rejection Don't let airborne noise get into your AC power signal and muddy your audio and video. The counter-spiraled conductors used in AC-14SE MkII offer superior noise rejection, while the superior shielding provides RF- and EM-interference rejection to help optimize the isolation of sensitive source components.   Superior Cable Flexibility Superior flexibility means easier installation. The lightweight design is perfect for use with power conditioners and it doesn't impede the effectiveness of isolation devices.  Solid and Secure Electrical Contact The AC-14SE MkII's 24k gold-plated contacts offer solid and secure electrical contact. You can feel the difference when you plug in the Pangea. Special two-shot molded connector bodies protect vital AC connections for maximum current delivery and long life.   Pangea Audio AC-14SE MkII C7 Power Cable is Ideal for: Preamps Music streamers Music servers Blu-ray players Powered speakers DACs Integrated amps Receivers Sound bars Cable/satellite receivers Gaming consoles Other AV source gear with a C7 power inlet

This is a great cable, helps improve the picture and sound quality of my Panasonic BD820 blue ray player. Clearer picture, more defined bass, mids and treble. I primarily use the player for music video's and concert's, and they have all benefitted from the installation of this cable. I have been an avid music fan and audiophile since the mid '80's, my only regret is that I didn't upgrade years ago. Highly recommended, just get it. I also got the Pangea AC9 mk2 se, 3 altogether. 1 for my Isotek Polaris power strip, 1.5m, and then 2 of the 1 meter cables for my Audio By VanAlstine Monoblocks. They made an even bigger difference, almost like I added a subwoofer. The improved bottom end, bass slam, if the music has it, is easy to hear. Vocals, midrange and tweeters have more clarity, and there is actually more volume, due to less restriction of the actual power getting to the amps. The last power cable, Pangea AC14Mk2, the best line level/source cord is on my pre amp, an NAD 165. While the pictures don't show all of the cables, and the heavier power cables, the AC9's in particular, can be a little on the not-so-flexible side, the benefits highly outweigh the down sides, which in my book, there were none, which these all replaced stock power cords. Just get the SE versions, that's where the magic is, the better Cardas wiring. Definitely worth the money. As a last note, don't expect them to sound their best right out of the box, give them some time to break in, they start to sound better after a couple hours, even more so after 20, and so on. There is a 30 day trial period, give them a chance, you won't regret it.I have some other Pangea power cables and they have fit snugly - this shape does fit my SVS subwoofer and is slightly loose. I have the cable in use and have not had any issues. They work. I have built a custom theater system and was looking for that final cable. I did my research and found then to be budget friendly and not comprise on quality. If you get a chance buy them, you won't regret it.I now use 4 of these Pangea cables in a 2-channel audio system. And what can I say-the first thing I think that everyone would agree on-including cable and wire deniers is that there was less extraneous noise-I had a very small mains related hum in the background, possibly due to the tangle of signal and power cables behind the entertainment center. The fact that these power cords are much better shielded is undisputable-the noise is still present but much lower in intensity than before-there may be other issues at hand too. What is nice also is the options of lengths available. I was using a standard 2 m cable in one application that needed to be gathered as an unsightly coil next to the entertainment center. Being able to use a 1m cable instead made a tidier appearance.Sound quality also took a step up with the Pangea-everything seemed to be more 'live', crisper, clearer and the bass notes seemed to have not only more extension ( not always a good thing), but were tighter and had more pitch (always a good thing).A caveat though-the plug ends, especially the IEC socket that goes into the equipment are very chunky and may not fit through precut access ports-I had to enlarge the hole in the backboard. Also these are much stiffer and more difficult to 'dress' than generic power cords and may need more clearance to turn a bend than you may be used to.Yes, you can get power cords for less, but decent quality generic ones are not THAT much less. You CAN however pay much, much more (maybe up to 100x more), so I think this is a sensible price point-if you value audio performance over price and ease of installation. This is my second Pangea Audio AC 14SE MKII. The other is a different version that's hooked to my dac. I noticed with that one that my dac turns on faster. After buying this one and hooking it up to my amp I've confirmed that these cords allow what they are hooked up to to draw more power. It's a good thing but be careful if you don't expect it. Before I would use the 2nd and 3rd gain on my amp for my dt1990. Now I have to use the the 1st gain and the lower levels of the 2nd gain. Want to put this out there so people know before they buy. Cord is well worth the price, just something that's good to know. Pangea and Mogami are my go to cords nowFirstly, I understand that some people assert that power cords cannot/ do not have any effect on equipment performance. But these statements are virtually never made from a position of first hand experience. However, my review is made from first hand observations.Put simply, the ample current carrying ability AND the multiple different shielding strategies employed prevent the cable from behaving as an antenna for RFI or being unduly affected by EMI. This has contributed directly to the power supply of my Bluesound Node 2 functioning in a more linear and ideal manner.Bottom line: more stratified sound stage width, height, and depth. Better tone colors. Better low level detail retrieval. Removal of all grit and grain. It's money well spent. I even put a std AC14 On my Apple TV. This actually slightly improved picture quality and reduced latency on the wired Ethernet connection.Highly recommended.Have other power cables by Pangea and I’ve heard the difference in my hifi setup. I actually ordered this by accident and ended up trying it on my Apple TV 5th gen. Looks phenomenal but I also upgraded my HDMI at the time. I would like to say it makes a difference but I have nothing objective to compare it to.This cable is extremely well constructed and most importantly is not too thick. I am using it in my Mac mini that is connected to my DAC (NA-11S1). It fits tight at both ends. Does the mini sound better with it? I honestly couldn't tell. It sounded pretty good already. So why replace the stock cord? Well, it's like changing your underwear after taking a shower. Do you smell better? Maybe. But you sure feel cleaner. It's like an insurance policy. I don't want to deprive my system for fifty bucks.I use the Pangea se mkll on most of my audio componants . Larger gauge well insulated . These power cords do make a difference .Tried it with a node 2i. Useless.
