Item description says 16 inch cable but it actually is 8 inches on each cable. It is really an 8 inch cable. Where am I supposed to route this to? On a full tower case when you plug it in this cable is not long enough extend out of the case. Best way to use it is to leave one of the back expansion slot covers off and route 2 cables from the devices INTO the case and connect to this cable inside the pc. Of course you will want to use devices you will not unplug and replug often as you will have to go into the case to do so.This should be call a 8 inch cable.I actually ordered this because I thought the last one I had from another brand was bad. found out my board actually was the issue and one of the two ports doesn't work for either cable! Opted to keep this one installed however as it's short, works great, is sturdy, and was already in my custom case.keep in mind this isn't a very long 3.0 cable so be wary of using it in large cases! but otherwise it's a great and reliable cable for it's intended use!Description has two problems, the female connectors are Type A (the larger USB connector), not Type C (the smaller symmetrical USB connector) . Also, the overall cable length is about HALF the length of 16 inches mentioned in description. If you need a short lenght Type A USB female to 19 pin interconnect, this cable would be fine.Had a spare USB 3.0 header on my motherboard. This adaptor cable let me put it quickly to use. It seated nicely and now I run backup drives off it, which stay inside the case.Purchased this to tidy up the cable management in a PC. The fit to the motherboard socket is VERY solid and tight. Works great and there have been zero issues.Works some of the timeThe cable is no where near 16" in lengthI might have had a defective cable. When I connected an external drive to this, the computer crashed. I used a different connector and it worked fine. This is not the length it claims and doesn't work as intended.Premium quality!Fitted ok and easy to plug into main board of a pc.
